GRANAROLO ARCI - DUNFERMLINE 4-3

Perhaps Dunfermline don't want to go up after all, especially considering the huge amount of favours they're doing to their direct opponents.
With Anni Settanta heavily hammered at the hands of WLF Genova, all Dunfermline required to move up to third was a draw away to Granarolo Arci.
Well, The Pars put up a far-from-decent performance, and deservedly lost by 4 goals to 3 to revive their opponents' hope of a playoff berth.
Perugini fielded Semino in goal, with Frassinelli and Filippi handed the two slots in defence. Bovalino replaced banned captain Marletta in the middle of the park, and was flanked by Maneschi and Boccaccio, with Cantelli completing the starting VII upfront.
Granarolo looked far more willing to cause damage in the early exchanges, however Dunfermline did take the lead with their first attempt, as Cantelli played a nice laid ball into the path of Maneschi who made no mistake from outside the box, the ball bouncing off the internal face of the upright before going into the net.
Scoreline-wise, that was right the start the Pars required, however their form has been faltering of late and Granarolo Arci were allowed back into the game, as some poor defending proved costly on a couple of occasion, the score being overturned to 2-1 Granarolo in the blink of an eye.
Boccaccio was despatched upfront with Cantelli shifting to the left wing, but chances remained hard to come by until Boccaccio himself provided Bovalino with a fine pass, which left the No 11 with a great chance, which he took indeed with a marvellous right-footed half volley into the top corner.
Before the ref blew the half-time whistle, Semino did well to keep a well taken effort out.

HALF TIME: Granarolo Arci 2, Dunfermline 2

Proceedings were resumed and Buccianti was introduced for Boccaccio, while Crosetti stepped in for Frassinelli, who had thoroughly looked out of sorts in the first half.
Dunfermline tried to send their charges forward, but a cheap mistake from Crosetti proved costly, as he was dispossessed on the half-way line and Granarolo took advantage netting their third with a simple two-pass move.
Cantelli had a great chance to equalise soon afterwards, following a great knock back by Buccianti, but the No 6 squared the ball right at the goalkeeper, and Dunfermline were punished again at the other hand, as Filippi handled outside the box, with the ensuing free-kick resulting in the 4-2 goal after the ball cannonned off the wall.
Game over, or thereabouts, even though Dunfermline did pull one back deep in stoppage time, as Cantelli took advantage of Granarolo's keeper fumbling the ball from a Boccaccio shot and lashed home.
Dunfermline even had a chance to equalise well beyond the end of injury time, but Boccaccio's soft effort from the halfway line hit the post before the ref blew the final whistle.
