The Pars coasted to their 13th win courtesy of hat-tricks from Cantelli and Marletta, a brace by Bovalino to add to an early opener scored by Di Noto
Dunfermline eased to their 3rd early-whistle finish this term, as they romped bottom side Aston Villa Scassi by 9 goals to 1 to terminate the game well before the 50th minute.
The Pars could count on no substitutes, as Alberga didn't make the squad, unfortunately, as the rest of the guys had repeatedly claimed they would have done just about anything to allow him to score his first goal in a Dunfermline shirt.
Perugini was handed his 3rd successive start, whilst Frassinelli and Filippi composed the back-pack. Marletta was partnered in midfield by Di Noto, and Bovalino was unusually deployed upfront together with Cantelli.
It took the Pars a while before they found an opener, however it was plain sailing since and the free-scoring attitude of the lads did nothing but add to to the ongoing misery for Aston Villa.
Di Noto netted the first goal by firing a low drive that left the keeper with no chances, whereas it was Cantelli who made it two, capping a brilliant individual effort which couldn't be handled properly by the Villans keeper.
Cantelli scored another as he found himself unmarked outside the box and lashed home with another cool effort, and Marletta's first of the night came from a Di Noto's throw-in, as the captain controlled the ball with this thigh and volleyed home.
Cantelli then produced another piece of pure brilliancy as he got past his marker and fired an unstoppable shot towards the back of the net.
Dunfermline's 6th came through Marletta again, with an easy side-footed effort from just outside the penalty area.
Aston Villa pulled one back before half-time, as an unfortunate series of rebounds placed the ball past keeper Perugini.
HALF TIME: Dunfermline 6, Aston Villa Scassi 1
Gaffer Vanin shuffled the pack a wee bit at the interval, as Marletta and Cantelli were deployed at the back, swapping positions with Frassinelli and Filippi in a bid to have the pair score their own goals, however it was Bovalino who coolly converted a brilliant cross from Di Noto to make it 7-1, before Marletta found some space to run into and, after getting past a couple of opponents, fired home to collect his 2nd successive hat-trick and his 20th goal of the campaign.
The early-whistle goal was once again scored through Bovalino, whose individual effort was absolutely fantastic and was capped by a wonderful shot into the top corner.
All in all, an easy win for the lads, which still sit 2nd as Never Alone Soccer were thoroughly outclassed by front runners Amici di Berto, which recorded a 6-1 win.
