DUNFERMLINE - INTERNAZIONALE 9-3

Dunfermline retained top spot by romping to an early-whistle victory against Internazionale, who are now deservedly occupying the bottom spot after a somewhat unexpected Aston Villa away win at Begato, against newly playoff hopeful Xeneixes.
Gaffer Vanin deployed Perugini in goal, Filippi and Frassinelli at the back, Marletta and Bovalino in midfield, with Di Noto and Cantelli completing the jigsaw uprfont.
Buttitta missed out through other duties, as he was tipped to start, whereas Buccianti was on the bench alongside Giuseppe Alberga.
Proceedings got underway and The Pars soon found the lead through Alessio Di Noto. Bovalino brilliantly nicked the ball off one of Inter's defenders, only to be denied by the keeper; Di Noto, however, was quick to react and coolly finished courtesy of a marvellous overhead kick to make it 1-0.
Marletta made it 2 courtesy of a brilliant in depth pass from Cantelli, and sidefooted home from close range.
A fortunate own goal entitled the Pars to widen their cushion to 3 goals, as Marletta took a corner kick, only for the ball to bounce off one of Inter's defenders who put it through his own net.
In pretty much the same fashion, Di Noto collected his second of the night as he took another corner at the other end, and the Internazionale's keeper couldn't handle the ball and saw it go in through his own legs.
Internazionale pulled one back towards the end of the first half through a brilliantly taken free-kick set piece which resulted in a cross and a finish from close range.

Proceedings were resumed and Buccianti was thrust onto the pitch to replace Cantelli. The Tuscan striker soon went back to scoring ways, as he latched onto a Marletta's corner to make it 5-1 his customary way - a pure striker goal.
Internazionale pulled one back with a neat heading finish, but Dunfermline proved too hot to handle and scored again through Di Noto, who collected his second brace in a Pars' shirt, and Marletta, who brought his season tally to 22.
It was 7-3 soon afterwards, as a brilliant overhead kick capped a good counter-attacking move on the part of Inter, but Cantelli scored his 24th of the season to make it 8-3.
The headlines, though, were captured by defender Filippi, who finally notched his first goal for the club as he collected a re-bound from a Frassinelli's long range effort and gave Dunfermline another early-whistle win.
