History

Dunfermline AFC Genoa were established in September 2006, following the return of founder Aldo Marletta from a two and a half year stint in London.

The Genoese Pars are obviously named after their original "counterparts", the West Fife outfit, were initially co-founded by 2007/2008 gaffer Luigi Vanin, who provided pocket money for league affiliation and establishment.

Many characters and people have taken part into the development of what was originally conceived as a bunch of friends playing football together.

It then went far beyond that, as relevant fundings were received by a local business, only for The Pars to be sadly and ignominously abandoned by the business' owner.

It took a real effort on the part of Fornetto Genovese, a local business specialised in the production of sweets and cakes, to continue the club's activity, which is at the moment ongoing and satisfactory.
