Preview - Gameweek 9

NEVER ALONE SOCCER - NEW REDS PONENTE (Referee: Negro)
Never Alone are obvious favourite to snatch all three points, considering New Reds have been underachieving by far this term and lost their last game against Compagnia delle Indie, putting in an abysmal performance and conceding 8 goals.
On the other hand, Never Alone made the most of their home encounter against Xeneises, by imposing them a 6-2 defeat and keeping up the pace with 3rd placed Dunfermline and table-toppers Le Cafe.

AMICI DI BERTO - LE CAFE (Acquapendente)
The cracker of the week. Amici Di Berto saw their unbeaten record beheaded last week, as they dropped points for only the second time this term, being on the receiving end of a 4-1 scoreline against Dunfermline. Le Cafe moved to top spot as a consequence of such a defeat and their own simultaneous easy win by 8 goals to 1 against bottom side Aston Villa Scassi.

XENEISES - INTERNAZIONALE (Peixoto)
It's either make or break for both sides, as their not-so-respectable records have been rather disappointing this term.
Xeneises hold a 3 point cushion over Internazionale and are closer to the playoff zone, however both sides were heavily defeated last week, against Never Alone Soccer and Borussia respectively.

DUNFERMLINE - SAMPIERDARENA NCLM (Molè)

COMPAGNIA DELLE INDIE - LAS CUEVAS (Marino)
Compagnia and Las Cuevas find themselves level on points, having to make up for a 7 point gap from 2nd spot and holding an equal cushion over the non-playoff zone.
Plenty of goals may be on the cards, for what is announced to be an enthralling and entertaining game at San Desiderio. Both teams are more than capable of scoring at will, however both defence packages have been sloppier than expected this far.

BORUSSIA - ASTON VILLA SCASSI (Castillo)
Aston Villa Scassi do not look any likely to break their point duck in the league, as Borussia appear an in-form side and eased past their local rivals Internazionale by 6-1 last week and will be hungry for more points to build upon their renewed playoff ambitions.
On the other hand, Aston Villa have shown slight progress of late, and will no doubt endeavour themselves to collect their first points of the season, contrary odds notwithstanding.
