Dunfermline beat Zonale Group C winners Archinav in a spectacular friendly match played at the 3 Pini football ground last night.
Marco Cantelli was once again the highlight of the game, as he grabbed a double hat-trick, while Frassinelli and Marletta netted a brace apiece, the former scoring with a wonderful overhead kick as well. Bovalino added another to complete the scoreline.

Semino, Buttitta, Di Noto, Borreani, Buccianti and Alberga were all notable absentees through various reasons on the night, whereas Perugini played the game in amongst Archinav's ranks, as the goalkeeper is part of both clubs' rosters, as well as Filippi and Marletta.
Dunfermline's manager Luigi Vanin also failed to turn up through his work duties.

The game saw 3 players make their debuts in a Pars' shirt, although their involvements in the team are going to take different paths.
While goalkeeper Antonio Minnella's signing is going to be completed today Wed 23rd April and he is going to feature from next game - against Le Café - until the end of the season, with a look to extending his stay beyond the current term, US midfielder Drew Fasolini's first appearance was more of a cameo, although he fared reasonably well, albeit causing some havoc in his team's defence as he headed the ball the wrong way and hit Minnella's woodwork.
Finally, Alessandro Merello, formerly of Sampierdarenese and Cella, also played his first match for Dunfemline, and the odds are for him to join the side on a permanent basis either at the beginning of the 2008/2009 campaign, or ahead of any summer tournaments the board should see fit to partake into.
